Aura Photos

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Aura Photos ("the App") handles your information. We take your privacy seriously and aim to collect only what is needed to keep the App running, free, and reliable.

What We Don't Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store the photos you take or any photos from your library. Aura generation runs entirely on your device. We do not operate any server that receives your images, and no image is ever sent to us or to any third party.

The App has no account system. We do not ask for and do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any other personal contact information.

What We Do Collect Through Third-Party Services

The App uses a small number of third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect limited, mostly anonymous data on our behalf. These providers act as data processors for the App.

Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate, for example how many people take a photo, save a result, or view the aura reading. The data collected includes:

This data is not linked to your real-world identity.

Crash and Performance Reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics)

If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, Firebase Crashlytics records diagnostic information so we can investigate and fix it. This includes the error stack trace, anonymous device identifiers, OS version, and App version. No personal information is intentionally included.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers (including your Android Advertising ID), ad interaction data, and coarse location derived from your IP address, in order to serve, measure, and limit the frequency of ads. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

In-App Purchases (RevenueCat and Google Play Billing)

If you choose to purchase the Remove Ads upgrade, the transaction itself is handled by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to keep track of which purchases are active so the App can grant the corresponding benefits, for example hiding ads. The data collected includes:

RevenueCat's privacy practices are described at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. Google Play Billing's data practices are covered in Google's Privacy Policy linked above.

Camera Access

The App requests access to your device's camera solely to capture a photo for generating your aura image. Photos are processed locally on your device. No images are transmitted to any server or third party.

Photo Library Access

The App requests access to your photo library so you can save your generated aura photo to your camera roll, and optionally pick an existing photo to generate an aura from. Selected photos are processed on your device only. We do not read, copy, or transmit any other photos in your library.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Choices

Because the App has no account, you can stop all future data collection at any time by uninstalling the App. To reset advertising identifiers used by AdMob, follow the steps in the Advertising section above.
